Sacred Space and the issue of Time Travel

Posted in Uncategorized on April 28th, 2008

One of the interesting points raised in the Cairo Working thread on Lashtal , is that Crowley purposely hid the precise time and date of Aiwass’s communication with him. To me there is more to this than meets the eye. Crowley was probably protecting the communication and the link, from future interference. One of the concepts/ideas of sacred space is to ensure minimum corruption from exterior influence in practice and communication. In laymans terms this is to ensure that the magick of the past is not corrupted or manipulated by misguided corrupted occultists in the future who would seek to go back and interfere with specific magickal currents to suit their own agenda.

If Time Travel will exist then why havent we seen any Time Travellers here and now?

In theoretical physics they is already debate and theories about the development of time travel in maybe 150 years from now. One of the debates concerns the lack of evidence of time travel here and now. Now on this level if time travel exists in the 23rd century why the lack of interference in this time? Well it could be that they havent sorted out the theories of manipulating us herein the present and the effect it would have on them in 200 years. But this wouldnt affect a 23rd century occultist….

For the sake of debate if a magickal group in the 23rd century wanted to ensure that their particular current survives they would take measures to use some occult time travel to go back to encourage and protect their original leader and founder of their tradition. In a sense giving the current a gentle “nudge” in the past. But this ability would also be at hand to groups who would seek to interfere and corrupt said current to ensure it doesnt become a threat to any future magickal development.

How would this work in a practical sense?

I would siggest that in the future that certain types of technology wil play a part in magickal operations. today in the UK we already have forerunners to this in the working of The Scole Experiment, who used homemade electronic devices using the chemical element Germanium to communicate and recieve information from dimensions and inhabitations that we can barely comprehend at this moment in time. Now imagine this technology in the 23rd century being used for magickal purposes and ritual work. Scrying technology/techniques developed that allow you to see back in time. Or devices that allow safe respectful communication with daimons, spirits and their like. In this context how can a 21st century occultist prevent themselves and their work from being a pawn in a future occult conflict?

Integrity

I would like to wager that to any future occultist out there who might be reading this, that you would be unable to interfere with Crowleys channellings with Aiwass. And one of the reasons is that Crowley was far sighted enough not to give the true days or times of the Aiwass channellings. He was protecting the work from future interference and corruption. In that context, how would that apply to our own personal work? To maintain integrity of your work you will need to ensure either that your journals and material is sufficiently protected from future corruption. Also you will need to ensure that dates and times will be obfuscated enough to ensure that integrity of communcations are held.

In someways the occult work being done now will be superior to what 23rd Century occultists will attempt in that they will not have the mental toughness or nerve that we have due to their over reliance on technology to penetrate, time, currents, and inhabitations that we here in the 21st century have to navigate with only our cunning and courage to travel in.

Technological Control & the survival of Thelema pt3

Here is another site explaining how deep and insidious the technology has become. from what is being said here the technology is sophisticated enough to affect your personal tastes and modify your behaviour without you actually knowing. If so this implications to have the freedom to be Thelemic are scary.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8263

From what has been reported it seems the ability to have free will could be curtailed by the black brothers and the War Machine. Strange Days ahead…

Technological Control and the survival of Thelema pt 2.

Here is another site explaining the obscene advances in technology that allow a persons free will to be ursurped and over ridden using technology that bypasses any sort of critcal or rational thought.

This website shows how far the “Black Brothers” have taken the use of technology to corrupt and deviate the magickal current on a much wider scale. Again the implications for maintaining magickal & spirtual integrity are far reaching.

Magickal Liabilities pt1 : Multiple memberships.

Posted in Uncategorized on February 12th, 2008

A chain is only has strong has its weakest link. In a magickal working group this is even more so. A person who seeks membership/initiation into a group needs to ask themself what it is that they actually want. But a person with multiple memberships in various orders, they seem to lack purpose or focus.

Any person who needs to join more than one magickal current is a liability. Their “need” to find a group that will give them “power” since the previous group was a failure. Or the realisation that they would have to put time and effort into working and studying for any gain makes people like this a parasite and a liability to the magickal current and the group. What also needs to be asked is what they couldnt get from their previous group or why they cant commit to the previous group that causes them to seek multiple memberships like badges on a cub scout. Membership in multiple orders doesnt guarantee spiritual “acquistion” or any increase in wisdom. Merely lots of badges that mean so little…….

Four Years Left: A Magickal Manifesto.

Posted in Uncategorized on January 27th, 2008

I am just after listening to Current 93’s “Black Ships Ate the Sky”. This track tells you all you need to know about what is coming in 2012. But i digress. This will be more of an open manifesto for all the people who are genuine practioners out there. What do you think you can achieve magickally before December 2012? Because after that all bets are off. Between the srehctaw and the Black Brothers who “hold office”, humanity will have to decide between slavery or regressing back to a primal state. If the occultist decides for the slavery he/she/they will have to find a strategy to maintain their spiritual integrity under restrictive conditons and being used has “food” for the machine. But if they decide to resort to going primal then ceremonial practice will become irrelevant and the magickal state will become a tool for survival. Much like the way Shamans still practice today in tribal cultures. Essentially the magickal current will resort to methods to ensure its survival. Even if large amounts of the practicing population are decimated.

Questions that need addressing.

1: How will you ensure the magickal current survives after you are physically dead?

2: How do you ensure that the current will not be corrupted or interfered by any exterior influence? (Technology, social engineering etc.)

3: How do you ensure you work and experience will still be seen and used by future practioners in a culture of censorship and restriction?

4: How will you adapt your practices if you decide to resist the slavery? What practices would need to be disregarded in a war/restrictive zone for several years?

These are just some questions to give you an idea of the spiritual tidal wave coming that will wash away a lot of us….

Historical revisionism & the occult.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 29th, 2007

Are there similarities between Neo Nazi’s and their manipulation of history and Wiccan/Witchcraft sympathisers?

Historical Revisionism.

Due to Gardners lack of explanation and dishonesty, to this day his students have been incredibly insecure about the roots of their practices and ideas. From this insecurity has arisen a need to re-write history to gloss over the problems created by Wicca. In doing so this has led to a use of historical revisionism that Neo Nazi’s & holocaust deniers would recognise.

An example of this is the insistence of some witchcraft writers that there were witches covens operating in the 1800-1900’s long before Gardner. Of course there is no physical historical evidence of this. But some writers insist that this revisionism is true of course, relying on historical documents showing the use of herbal medicine for everyday use and somehow managing to say this is evidence of “witchcraft” and the existence of witches covens. Again this comes from their insecurity of knowing that Wicca in its present form didnt exist before Gardner in any organised form, so they need to use historical revisionism to “create” a new history that is more in line with their beliefs. Again this is something that David Irving and holocaust deniers would regognise.

A second point of reference is the label of “Dual Faith Observance”. This label is used to attempt to create a history that shows Christians in the 1700- 1800’s who would pray and use Psalms and the Christian saints are somehow “secret” witches”. And of course if they are secret witches then there must be “secret” witches covens….. In this context if we take this argument to its natural conclusion then all the Catholics who travel to Lourdes to pray for an ill relative must be “secret witches”. Mmmmm.

A third point of reference is what some witchcraft writers call “Witchblood”. Now this is where it gets dangerous for so many reasons. The theory behind witchblood is that somehow that there is a hereditary/genetic line of people who are somehow “superior” to the rest of the population. Has a Thelemite who accepts the “Law is for all” i find the witchblood theory repulsive. The theory behind Witchblood is no different than the Nazi idea of Aryan superiority or racist ideas of genetic superiority over other races. Writers like Raven Grimassi and Michael Howard haven given air to these witchblood theories.

In this context we can see that what neo nazi’s have been doing for years with historical revisionism is starting to be an avenue used by historical revisionists in Wicca and witchcraft circles for their own short sighted purposes. Manipulating the past to try to make the present more controllable was something that Orwell saw through the experience of Hitler and the Nazi’s. The continued manipulation of witchcraft / Wiccan history seems to suggest that current flowing through Wicca and its like will continue to be a very shallow current.

The Evolution of Ceremonial Magick.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 4th, 2007

The practice and use of magick continues to evolve and change has the needs and tastes of humanity change. The following example is demonstration of this.

On this youtube group you can see how the application of ceremonial ritual and theory has been altered to fit in with the needs of the 21st century and how our perception of what constitutes magick is changing.

Pressure Testing in the Occult. Pt 1.

Posted in Uncategorized on September 11th, 2007

In the martial arts there is a practioner by the name of Geoff Thomson. Who wrote a series of books called Animal Day: Pressure testing martial arts. The books advocated the practioner put themself through a series of events to test their abilities and adeptness of their practice under severe duress. This in turn helped the practioner to see what was useful in a stressful scenario and what they could actually do in a real situation.

So what does this have to do with the occult?

In an age when so called occultists dont seem capable of practice on a regular basis, and are quite happy to be armchair occultists who use google searches , the need for testing the mind and body has never been more important. Kenneth Grant’s work suggest strongly that occultists who practice are going to have a hard time over the next couple of decades. Through various factors including the Qlippoth , the presence of ultraterrestrials who will seek to interfere in the magickal current, and various human groups who are seeking into drag humanity in to ignorance and subserviance using materialism and social engineering techniques. So how will the sincere and genuine occultist cope with these challenges? Usually Ordeals and internal forms of initiation would help to prepare for difficult choices and actions. But it could be argued in the 21st century this is not the case. A lot of so called 21st century occultists are cowardly and lazy hiding behing slack arguments and point scoring. So how do we prepare for the difficult times ahead?

Pressure testing the Arte.

The occultist needs to challenge and test themselves mentally and spiritually to ensure their Arte and Will are not corrupted by modern living conditions. A lot of so called magickal groups out there( Wicca, some forms of Paganism, corrupted Golden Dawn groups etc.) dont really prepare the occultist for genuine magickal work and riding the magickal current. A lot of this training is really watered down Golden Dawn material and just copies of Crowleys work copied. In reality this isnt enough. So what can be done to improve the Will and its application of the Arte?

Examples of pressure testing:

Creating Sacred Space in awkward and unusual circumstances.

( eg: Could you make yourself homeless for a magickal operation? Could you do a bhakti operation while being a beggar on the street? Could you do an evocation outside of your comfort zone of your private space?)

Accomplishing a magickal operation without sacred space or the support of any deities or implements.

(EG: if you had to do magick at an airport or a bus station you wouldnt be able to flash a ritual dagger about you. Well you could but you wouldnt get very far with it!!)

On a bigger level manipulating/maintaining the environment around you to ensure practice continues is another form of pressure testing. (EG: Could you practice everyday 365 days a year? Without interruption? Without corruption?)

These are just some of the examples. There are many more.

In an age where the lazy occultist gets fed on by the hungry Qlippoth, the occultist needs to toughen themself up for the difficulties ahead…….

Sacred space in Geburah

Posted in Uncategorized on July 16th, 2007

In the 21st century the concept and deployment of sacred space in open view (without corruption) will become more sophisticated. An example of this deployment is Denver International Airport.

http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Denver_Airport.html

The article runs into several parts and includes some good stuff on how Masonic symbolism has been “adapted” for future use. This includes the use of technology and military applications to “enhance” the hidden in plain sight Sacred Space. The material on the DIA Mural is also of interest to the Thelemite in that it seems a high ranking Freemason in the American establishment has been influenced by the Book of the Law on a subtle level. It seems that the Freemasons are becoming an instrument for the work of Thelema without realising it……

Using labels to define occult work.

Posted in Uncategorized on June 6th, 2007

One of the recent threads on Lashtal  was promoting the idea of a “false” Babalon. The person was suggesting that his work was being “affected” by this. And that women who work with Babalon ended up going crazy or mad. I disagree. There is nothing negative about Babalon. Only corrupted or negative perceptions of Babalon.

What i found telling was the use of pseudo Christian terms to label an essentially Thelemic/alien entity which is beyond the confines of human control.

Lets start with the label : KUNDRY

From the opera Parsival, Kundry was a character which portrayed women in a dark mistrustful  light, which distracted men from the Grail. How using this term to define Babalon even a “false” one is misguided. In magical work Babalon doesnt approach the occultist in a false light. If anything her honesty can be too much to cope with. So either its a shell or a distracting entity which is playing games. But it wont be Babalon or even a reflex.( The only alternative would be the virgin. Again this takes us back to Chrisitian symbolism which is not useful in Thelemic work).

Gematria;

There are 2 alternatives for the spellings of Kundry.

354 : Demons.

290: “Thine Enemy” , Persecutor, Enemy, Distress, danger.

So from a magical angle the label of Kundry is a poor choice. Any attempt to communicate or reason with this entity will just give you bother. And again it has nothing to do with Babalon.

Then we have psychological labels being use to justify limitations here. Psychology and “archetypes” are irrelevant in magical work. The belief system that is psychology has done nothing to evolve or help occultism. Most of that avenue has been Jungian archetypes. But even that was dishonest. It was just Mysticism dressed up in scientiifc academic language which went around in circles. Those labels are useless in identifying things which are beyond human/occult experience.

The only opinion i can form on this is that there is a lot of baggage/conditioning still involved there, which is hindering Thelema developing on a personal level. And this causes all sorts of mistakes and misguided ideas to trap the person in a “false” conclusion.
